Skateboarding is not a crime and not always legal
Nathan and I had to get around Grand Rapids by foot, bus, skateboard, and bike because the minivan was in the shop. It was a great day for such green activity. The most fun we had happened when we were going back to pick up the minivan. I was skating and Nathan was biking. I had a flashback when I got off the bus at Woodland Mall. I hopped onto my skateboard and turned to make sure Nathan was close by me in the mall parking lot and a mall cop raced up in his SUV. I instantly thought about high school days, considering to tell Nathan to start peddling fast! But since I am a "parent" now, I listened to the security officer say: "Skateboarding is not allowed on mall property." Sheesh! Now that public skate parks are everywhere I thought the days kids would have to flee from pseudo-cops were long gone. No big. It was funny to tell Nathan about how dad used to get chased by the mall police back in the day.

Nice post, cool blog thanks for sharing. I have a skateboarding-crime story myself...
Your longboard looks sweet, when are you going to actually ride it? Justin is surfing the same board as before, even when conditions merit a longer board, whih he now has.... Damn shortboarders and their egos.
Made me think of this graffitified sign.
That is great! How did you find that?
