carolina chocolate drops
One upside to living in Grand Rapids is that I get to see great shows on occasion. Tonight I saw the Carolina Chocolate Drops by referral from my good friend, Mary. My interest in this type of music, they called it "Old Time," has ebbed and flowed but hit a high point after seeing Oh Brother Where Art Thou a few years back. Tonight I am revived and plan to go up into the attic and pull out some CDs I haven't listen to in a while. First on the list will be the Rev. Gary Davis. The only way I can relate this to surfing is that I surf and I like this too!
