The Elmer T

The Elmer T is my attempt at a mini-simmons--a fairly wide, parallel board, step-deck, almost no rocker, flat bottom. It started out with a solid rectangular piece of EPS foam (6' x 24" x 3"). The fins took the most time and were made from scrap plywood and scrap cloth. Opposed to what I am used to, I decided to make a leash loop, using scraps of cloth from the Alger Board Room. 

Dimensions: 5'8" x 22" x a smidgen under 2.5"

Continuing the experiment of building this board from hand and using materials I already have laying around, I made a leash loop out of scrap 6 oz cloth. All that is left to do now is to sand and apply the gloss coat.

This is the latest from d surfboards. It is my stab at a mini-simmons: 5'8" x 22" x 2.5". The plan is to glass an color it next week.
